Psalm 72:18,19  Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

The Name of The Lord is glorious. Everything about The Lord is glorious. Everything The Lord does is glorious. He only does wondrous things. Let that truth sink deep down into your soul this morning. Right now, beloved, God is doing wondrous things on your behalf. They may not look wondrous, but neither did that center cross on Calvary look wondrous 2,000 years ago. Another Psalmist declared: “Thou [art] the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.” (Psalm 77:14) Elsewhere King David stated: “For thou [art] great, and doest wondrous things: thou [art] God alone.” (Psalm 86:10) Moses asked: “Who [is] like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who [is] like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful [in] praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11)

Some of you may be depressed this morning. Others may be overwhelmed with fear. Still others are dealing with personal or family situations that are beyond your ability to comprehend. Know that Jesus Christ is right there with you. He knows the things you are wrestling with or worried about. He also is doing wondrous things. Job had no idea that God was doing the wondrous things that we read about in the last chapter of the book. The persecuted and tried saints recorded in Hebrews 11 are among the worshippers in Revelation 4 who are declaring the glorious Name of God. Yes, our sorrows and pains are real. But in the midst of it all, the wondrous comfort and love of our glorious God reigns. Blessed be His glorious Name.
